JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Customer Service Representative
Department: Branch Operations
Reports To: Branch Officer
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Scope:
Provides a variety of services to new/existing clients including, but limited to, teller transactions, opening new accounts and branch procedures, while assuring the highest quality of customer service.
Essential Functions:
Accurately processes a wide variety of teller transactions. Including cash and check deposits, check cashing, account withdrawals, loan payments, safe deposit box payments and issuing cashier’s checks.
Performs all duties associated with balancing the main vault and ATM machine. Including ordering and processing of coin and currency to the Fed.
Promotes, explains, and cross sells other financial services such as loans, mortgage, checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, business services and digital services.
Opens and processes all new retail accounts and services.
Provides clients with information on deposit accounts, loan accounts, current rate offerings, and other relevant account information.
Services customers with online banking questions and requests.
Performs all types of file maintenance. Including, but not limited to, address change, product change, ownership change, beneficiary changes, etc…
Adheres to regulatory, audit and operating policies and procedures.
Ensure workstations are properly stocked, organized and equipment in working order.
Communicates effectively within immediate team and support departments.
Minimum Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior customer service experience preferred
Prior banking experience preferred
Minimum required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
MS Word and Excel
Background and knowledge of applicable compliance and regulatory laws
Describe any equipment, machines and/or tools used:
Standard office equipment
Describe the work environment: (noise, dust, hot/cold temperatures, safety hazards, etc.)
Typical office environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
