What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Technician/MLT-Generalist position at Select Laboratory Partners?
Select Laboratories-SC is an established reference laboratory located in Manning SC. Select Labs is actively seeking to hire a dedicated and reliable MLT to join our team. Position is full time, Monday -Friday evening shift hours working 4pm-midnight.

Primary job duties:
- Laboratory testing - perform Clinical Chemistry, Hematology and Microbiology tests on various specimens with the ability to work independent and in a team environment following established policies and procedures
- Instrument operation-operate specialized equipment to conduct tests
- Quality control - follow strict quality control procedures to ensure test accuracy
- Result analysis - analyze and interpret test results with precision
- Maintenance - maintain laboratory equipment with detailed records and safety standards
- Communication- communicate test results to healthcare providers and provide excellent, timely customer service
- Compliance - OSHA, HIPPA and CLIA requirements are followed
- Organizational skills- prioritizes duties and manages workload to meet established turnaround times for efficient patient care and treatment decisions
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited MLT institution
- Minimum of one year Clinical Chemistry, Hematology and Microbiology experience working as an MLT in a CLIA approved lab
- American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) registration preferred but not required
