Position: Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO)
Location: Poplar Bluff, MO
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000/year, commensurate with experience

Our Prosthetics and Orthotics center in Poplar Bluff is hiring a compassionate and driven ABC Certified full-time Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO). The ideal candidate will oversee all stages of design, fabrication, fitting, and maintenance of prosthetic devices related to patients’ needs, as indicated by a physician. American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Prosthetics/Orthotics or the completion of a Residency Program in Prosthetics/Orthotics (Board Eligible), is required to be considered for this opportunity. Responsibilities
- Oversees all stages of design, fabrication, fitting and maintenance of orthotic/prosthetic devices related to patients’ needs, as indicated by a physician.
- Assists physicians with the evaluation and analysis of the patient’s need for orthotic/prosthetic services.
- Ensures proper patient management is consistent with established practices for orthotic/prosthetic care.
- Identifies and reconciles issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided.
- Ensures highest standards of patient care are provided to all patients, including but not limited to adequate follow-up with patients and physicians.
- Reviews new techniques and materials to ensure the widest range of flexibility and services offered.
- Maintains accurate documentation to clearly define goals, issues and solutions for each patient.
- Provides administrative staff with information to conduct reimbursement activities.
- Provides information to facility management to ensure proper management of inventory and materials.
- Meets with physicians, case managers and other referral sources to market orthotics/prosthetics services and capabilities.
- Provides on-call services, as necessary.
- Recommends treatment options to physicians, when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university from a recognized Orthotics and Prosthetics school.
- American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Orthotics Prosthetics required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in providing orthotic services under the supervision of a certified practitioner.
