Job Summary :
The Director of Global Sales to lead our international sales efforts and drive growth in the flexible and rigid packaging markets. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sales leadership, their existing vendor and freight relationships, and cost analytics, along with a proven track record in the packaging industry. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing our global sales strategy while fostering strong relationships with vendors and clients.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new department staff – if applicable
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department – if applicable.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations – if applicable.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy – if applicable
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee negotiations to ensure optimal cost and service levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with an established network of vendors.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders globally.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of international transportation, tariffs, and products, specifically in the tube line industry.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and strategic discussions with major accounts.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of flexible and rigid packaging products to address client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Prepare detailed cost analytics, profitability reports, and performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and strategic insights to senior leadership.
