NixOS Specialist

As the NixOS Specialist, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of various Linux systems. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to derive requirements, plan and execute their development, test them in lab and real-world environments. Additionally, you will be responsible for hardening these systems to meet cybersecurity requirements and providing documentation.

Essential Functions

• Setup and maintain various Linux system configurations and installation images; deploying as needed to designated hardware and debugging as necessary.
• Setup and maintain version control for the Linux system configurations, as well as generating documentation of configuration changes and configuration management of fielded equipment.
• Generate documentation / artifacts needed for cyber security accreditation.
• Assist with setting up lab test environments, including companion hardware.
• Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security best practices to offer the best solutions and continuing improvement to systems.
• Approximately 15% travel will be required : CONUS.
