Success in this role requires a strong understanding of past performance, customer budget cycles, market trends, and industry best practices to achieve sustained growth.

What You’ll Do
- Research industry and related events, budgets, publications, and announcements; tracking identified customer requirements and identifying opportunities for the company to support customer mission needs.
- Close coordination with the Services Business Unit Director to identify, pursue, propose, and contract service opportunities that leverages past performance.
- Identify, propose, and contract new opportunities with prime contractors and OEM’s related to build to print and build to spec programs. These programs should focus on, but are not limited to, machining, wire harnesses, kitting, manufacturing, and composites.
- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities, and negotiating and agreeing to formalize business partnerships for specific opportunities.
- Works with proposal management and technical solution teams to respond to request for information, proposals, or quotes within identified timeframes ensuring collaborative and compliant submissions with high probability of award.
- Enter and proactively maintain customer data and sales opportunities in the CRM system.
- Closely coordinate with the contracts and operations teams to respond to customer opportunities with fully compliant proposals.
- Protects organization's value by safeguarding confidential information and conducting business as the brand of SelectTech to external stakeholder in the community at large.
- Maintain a consistent cadence of customer visits, trade show/symposium/industry event attendance.
- Updates job knowledge by identifying, seeking, and participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Enhances organization reputation by adhering to all company core values of collaboration, technical excellence, and remaining agile to support customer mission needs.
- BS Degree in a technical area such as electronics, communications, mechanical or aerospace, engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
- 20 years of demonstrated experience in increasingly complex and technical business development and/or sales positions.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills at varying levels within the organization
- Closing skills and motivation for sales
- Prospecting skills, sales planning, selling to customer needs
- Market knowledge of all product markets
- Proven presentation skills
- High energy level
- Ability identify and develop projects to a successful completion through political sensitivity
- Strong written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Must be able to qualify for and maintain at least a Secret Security Clearance
