What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flexo Operator position at SEMO Box Company?
Looking for a Flexo-Folder-Gluer operator or operator trainee with a positive attitude, great work ethic, and the interest in building a career for oneself. Responsibilities include running a 1 to 4 color flexo to manufacture corrugated boxes. The operator is the leader of the production team on each machine, so good leadership qualities are ideal. Must be able to get along with others, as cooperation is a must in our workplace. Our operators work in direct contact with our production manager, who ensures orders get done in time and are scheduled effectively, and our quality control manager, who helps ensure the boxes are meeting our standard of excellence. Requirements are education background of a High School graduate or greater, preferred machinery operation experience, necessary willingness to learn, experience in basic mechanical understanding, a hands-on approach, and the promptness to show up every day. We are a family owned company operating for over 54 years in Southeast Missouri, so everyone is invested into the process as a whole. The ownership and management team will be working with you throughout your workday as well.
Entry Requirements (competence, training, experience, qualifications):
· Able to lift 20lbs.
· Able to stand 8 hrs.
· Able to endure heat during summer months
· Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience preferred
· Works well with others

Duties:
· Receive and follow instructions on customer orders to run through machinery
· Setup machinery to perform requested operations for customer orders
· Operate machine to produce the correct items for orders
· Must keep accurate counts of production
· Keep assigned machine and work area clean
· Notify supervisor of any unsafe conditions
· Communicate with supervisor and other team members about machine performance and output
· Supervise and delegate tasks to production associates
· Ensure quality standards are upheld at all times
· Troubleshoot minor production problems and make adjustments
· Adhere to safety protocols at all times
· Carry out periodic checks for quality assurance
· Modifying machine operation speeds during different production cycles/runs
