What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Activities Coordinator position at SemperServe?

Assists the Manager of the Diplomatic Reception Rooms with the oversight of the caterers and waitstaff to ensure compliance with the guidelines and procedures involving food preparation. Directs all disputes regarding the Contractors to the Manager for resolution. Responsible for daily inspections of the Reception Rooms and coordination of the cleaning and maintenance that may be required. Provides weekly reports to the Manager detailing the condition of the Reception Rooms. Must be articulate. Well groomed, personable, and able to work under extreme pressure. A uniform is not required however, employee will be required to wear business professional attire.

Conducts detailed inventory of all china, silver, crystal, linen and representational equipment annually. Provides a written report to the Diplomatic Reception Rooms Manager and COR including notification of damaged or missing items. Ensures linen is properly cleaned and stored after each event.

Attends planning meetings with clients to obtain event requirements. Conducts walkthrough of event sire to ensure logistical needs regarding the event have been addressed. Assists the Office of Protocol with special requirements during Official State Visits.

Prepares memorandum for loading dock access and escorts vendors, purveyors, and contractors to and from the 8th floor. And any other assigned duties.
Must possess a Top-Secret Clearance and Food Handlers Certification. Requires intermittent overtime.
