What You’ll Do
As a caregiver with Senior Helpers, you’ll play an integral role in improving the quality of life for seniors and their families. Your responsibilities will include:
Personal Care Support
- Bathing & Grooming Assistance: Help clients maintain personal hygiene with dignity and care. This includes assisting with showers, sponge baths, hair care, and grooming routines.
- Dressing & Mobility Support: Aid clients in dressing appropriately for the day and safely transferring from beds, chairs, or other positions.
- Toileting Assistance: Provide compassionate support with bathroom needs, including changing incontinence products or assisting to and from the restroom.
Companionship & Social Engagement
- Building Relationships: Spend quality time engaging in conversations, playing games, watching favorite shows, or enjoying shared hobbies.
- Encouraging Activities: Help clients stay active with light exercises, walks, or other activities tailored to their abilities.
- Providing Emotional Support: Offer a listening ear and a reassuring presence to brighten your clients’ days.
Daily Living Assistance
- Meal Preparation: Prepare simple, nutritious meals and assist with feeding if needed, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and comfortable home environment by tidying common areas, washing dishes, doing laundry, and more.
- Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their prescribed medications on time without administering them directly.
Transportation & Errands
- Appointments & Outings: Safely drive or accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, or religious services.
- Running Errands: Assist with grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, or other necessary errands.
Safety Monitoring & Reporting
- Fall Prevention: Create a safe environment by addressing hazards and assisting with mobility aids like walkers or canes.
- Observing Changes: Monitor and report any changes in health, behavior, or needs to the office or family members.

Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No professional experience required. Family experience and/or professional caregiver experience is accepted.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of background checks and drug screenings.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
- Ability to communicate with office staff, clients, and other caregivers through phone call, text, and email.
