POSITION SUMMARY
FLSA: Non-Exempt
PRN (as needed) position provides support and assistance for the information technology and business operations functions of events and meetings on the agency’s campus. Sets up, monitors, coordinates, and resolves operational issues related to IT, AV, physical campus and property, and administrative operations during events.
Position requires flexible schedule and works as needed hours which may include evenings and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Training:
Associate degree with concentration in computer technology, audio visual, or related experience. Microsoft certifications are a plus. Experience working in general business operations (IT, physical plant and property, administrative support) a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong technical skill with PC’s, peripheral hardware, audio visual equipment, stage lighting and cameras
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform speedy and independent analyses and problem-solving, and quickly research and resolve unfamiliar issues.
- Multi-tasking, and excellent interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
Active work with some lifting of up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motion, close visual acuity, talking, listening.
Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
55% Position responds to event support requests and assists with setting up and troubleshooting for IT and A/V equipment and stage lighting. Support includes responding to and managing audio visual and stage lighting needs for meetings and events, operating audio-visual equipment, stage lighting, cameras, and creating recordings if necessary, during meetings and events, troubleshooting IT needs and connectivity issues during meetings and events.
50% Position sets-up and breaks-down event spaces and assists space renters with operational issues to include setting up and arranging tables, chairs, and other room configuration elements for meetings and events, assisting with cleaning and stocking or restrooms, emptying trash, resetting spaces, and ensuring operational effectiveness during meetings and events.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for own work only.
AUTHORITY/ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for resolving renter requests for support, responsible for ensuring building safety and compliance with operational policies. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Position requires initiative and judgement. Assesses employee and building support needs and resolves issues
