Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to promote independence.
- Engage clients in memory care activities, especially those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health aide roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dementia care, long-term care, and memory care practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical records management is a plus.
- CPR certification is beneficial but can be obtained after hiring.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating compassion and patience.
- Must be physically able to assist clients with mobility needs and perform light lifting tasks as necessary.
