What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Support Technician - Anatomic Pathology position at Sentara?
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a laboratory support tech to work full-time day (11am-730pm) shifts in the Anatomic Pathology Lab.
Job duties are to prepare specimens per discipline operating procedure for result/interpretation by technical staff and/or pathologists. Performs instrument maintenance and inventory functions per operating procedures.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in biology or chemistry; OR Bachelor's degree in general studies with 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) in biology or chemistry
- Lab experience preferred
