Flexographic Printing Press Operator

Co is a private label paper distribution manufacturer

Location: Kansas City, MO

Shift: 3PM to 11PM Monday - Friday

Pay: Up to $28/hour

Overview

The printing press operators are directly responsible for loading, maintaining and monitoring the printing press.*Must have Flexographic experience

Job Description

Duties include but are not limited to; knowing all the safety features of the Press and operating it in a safe manner, mixing inks to customer requirements using PMS swatches, doctor blade maintenance, maintaining viscosity and density.

Ensuring that the press is producing a quality product and troubleshooting issues when it is not.

Maintaining a clean work area, making small machine repairs as necessary and reporting larger issues to the supervisor or maintenance department.

Load the appropriate paper in order to both meet customer demands and have the machine run efficiently using company provided specifications and visual aids.

Take direction from the lead pressman/press supervisor or Plant Manager.

Train press assistants and develop future Operators.

Responsible for Food Safety, HACCP, GMP’s and Food Defense protocol and shall be competent and have appropriate education, training, skills and experience. Along with Quality Workmanship, producing quality products.

Work Requirements

- Knowing safety features of the Press and operating it in a safe manner

- Mixing inks to customer requirements using PMS swatches, doctor blade maintenance

- Maintaining viscosity and density

- Loading, maintaining and monitoring the printing press.
− Excellent Communication skills required
− Previous Manufacturing experience preferred
− Must be quality minded

Contract to Hire

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
