What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Lead position at Serena and Lily, Inc?
Serena & Lily, a lifestyle brand, is seeking a Warehouse Safety Lead at our Distribution Center in Rincon, GA. The Warehouse Safety Lead reports to the Georgia Distribution Safety Manager, and is a member of the facility supervisory staff at the Serena & Lily Distribution Center. The safety lead will ensure all safety policies are being followed along with training new associates.
2nd shift: 3:30pm-12:00am (midnight)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor, facilitate, train, and advocate for Serena & Lily’s Safety Program.
- Assist the Safety Team with delegated activities;
- Be a key and contributing member of the Distribution Center Safety team in the following functions: Safety Program, Process Improvement, Warehouse Training Program, and audits, monthly and annually
- Working with Distribution Center Managers and Assistant Manager, establish a culture focused on Personal and Process safety. This includes ex-working hours activities leading to a safe lifestyle.
- Take facility-wide accountability for maintaining a safe environment.
- Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines.
- Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.
- Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures.
- Develop safety related work teams/group to enhance the overall safety program
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong technical writing skills
- Strong communication skills. Must be able to comfortably speak in front of large and
- small audiences during safety education and field surveillance visits.
- 3-5 years’ experience in safety
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications preferred
- Demonstrated safety industry leadership, Must be detail oriented and organized
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
COMPENSATION:
- $21/hr
- 2nd shift: 3:30pm-12:00am (midnight)
