Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
- Plan events that encourage participation and foster community engagement.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure activities are well-organized and adequately staffed.
- Conduct assessments to identify residents' interests, abilities, and needs related to recreational therapy.
- Facilitate group activities that promote socialization, cognitive skills, and physical health.
- Maintain an organized schedule of events, ensuring all materials and resources are prepared in advance.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to enhance resident participation in activities.
- Monitor resident engagement and adapt programs based on feedback and observed interests.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all activities.
Requirements
- Experience in recreational therapy or event planning is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care practices and aging issues counseling is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in schedule management to effectively coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
- Background in social work or senior care is beneficial.
- Ability to assist residents with varying levels of mobility and cognitive function.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
