Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide compassionate care and support to individuals in need. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you assist.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status
- Follow care plans and ensure the safety and well-being of clients
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role preferred
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards others
Skills:
- Experience in a teaching hospital setting
- Familiarity with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) procedures
- Knowledge of geriatric care practices
- Exposure to working in Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers
- Understanding of emergency medicine protocols
- Experience in inpatient care settings
- Familiarity with Operating Room (OR) procedures
- Knowledge of hospital medicine practices
- Exposure to outpatient care environments
