Overview :

Our client a mortgage technology company is growing their Messaging team. This Messaging Administrator is a contract to hire 100% REMOTE opportunity!

Job Summary :

The Messaging Administrator is responsible for the design implementation and maintenance of the organizations messaging systems. The Messaging Administrator will manage the messaging infrastructure ensuring that it is reliable secure and meets the needs of the organization. The Messaging Administrator will work closely with other IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure that messaging systems are integrated with other systems and meet business requirements.

Essential Job Functions :

Design implement and maintain messaging systems including email instant messaging and collaboration tools.
Manage the messaging infrastructure ensuring that it is reliable secure and meets the needs of the organization.
Monitor messaging systems for performance availability and security and take proactive measures to address issues.
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to messaging systems including email retention and archiving security and access control.
Collaborate with other IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure that messaging systems are integrated with other systems and meet business requirements.
Provide technical support to endusers including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for messaging systems.
Keep uptodate with emerging technologies and trends in messaging systems.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers related to messaging systems.
Develop and maintain documentation related to messaging systems and processes.
Expertise with Exchange 2016 / 2019 support and upgrade in a Hybrid configuration with Office 365.
Utilizing SMTP Basic Authentication and Modern Authentication methods.
Utilizing Load Balancers to offer High Availability to the Onprem Exchange System.
Expertise in Powershell.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications :

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge skill and / or ability required.

Strong technical skills in messaging systems including Microsoft Exchange Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with other IT teams and business stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Education and / or Experience :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field preferred.

Five (5) years of experience in messaging systems administration with a focus on email systems.

Experience with email retention and archiving security and access control.

2 years experience supporting AWS SES (Simple Email Service).

2 years Amazon Mail Manager configured for SMTP Relay.
