What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Repair Technician position at Serigraph?
**3rd Shift Opening**
Serigraph is seeking an advanced skilled Maintenance Technician skill in machine repair and electrical troubleshooting of all manufacturing equipment and distribution centers.
\n- Troubleshooting
- Electrical
- Follow electrical schematics on presses.
- Address electrical breakdowns of equipment.
- Mechanical
- Diagnose gear reducers, bearings, belts, pulleys, chains, sprockets, clutch, and brake discs.
- Ensure proper timing of feeders, screen presses, and punch presses.
- Repair mechanical breakdowns on presses.
- Hydraulics
- Troubleshoot hydraulics in screen presses, die cutters, lift tables, and pallet trucks.
- Ensure compliance with environmental practices, policies, and proper material handling.
- Support Serigraph's current quality business system and understand the use of SPECS.
- Emphasize recycling, energy conservation, and waste reduction with strong process control.
- Pneumatics
- Troubleshoot pneumatics in screen presses (cylinder, clamshell, and flatbed presses) and die cut presses.
- HVAC
- Address burner controls, blower motors, belts, and bearings.
- Preparation of Repair Estimates
- Estimate hours required for repair.
- Prepare a list of necessary repair parts and estimate their cost.
- Perform tasks outlined in preventative maintenance charts.
- Move and set up equipment as necessary.
- Communicate relevant information with preceding and succeeding shifts.
- Possess knowledge of and adhere to good departmental and company safety, housekeeping, and personal protective equipment (PPE) practices to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. We value the foundational education and skills that it represents as a minimum qualification for this role.
- Previous experience in mechanical and maintenance roles, preferred.
- Familiarity functioning within department policies and procedures is adventagous.
