What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Security Operations Administrator position at Service Credit Union?
Service Credit Union is seeking a Physical Security Operations Administrator where you will maintain the organization’s automated alarm and video security system. Must be able to program and troubleshoot security equipment. Will serve as the point of contact for security system related issues and requests. This position will also be required to fill in for the Security Greeter and the Courier positions as needed.
Pay: Starting at $20.43 per hour. Flexible based on experience.
Hours: Full time, Monday Friday, 8:00 5:00.
Work location: Portsmouth, NH

The Day to Day:
- Act as the system administrator for alarm and video system software.
- Able to systematically troubleshoot alarm and video systems.
- Conduct alarm testing and inspections, to include fire extinguishers.
- Process employee change requests and manage permissions to security systems.
- Place service calls for alarm and video system as needed.
- Process incidents submitted by branches and departments.
- Ability to learn and understand new software products.
- Travel to NH and MA branch and building locations as required, if needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to learn and be very comfortable with all aspects of technology.
- Experience in physical security and a demonstrated ability with confrontation with the capability to de-escalate a situation.
- Must be able to remain calm in a crisis.
- Must have critical thinking skills.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand for 2 hours, lift a minimum of 50 lbs., reaching, twisting, bending, climbing on a ladder, squatting, kneeling, sitting, standing, walking, driving. Ability to use computers for up to 8 hours.
- Excellent multitasking, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment as well as solve problems and act independently.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to follow written procedures and apply information learned.
- Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and various web-based applications required.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred. Willing to train applicants with interest in security systems maintenance and administration.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree in criminal justice preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
