Summary
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for engaging with current and prospective customers, identifying their needs, and providing tailored solutions for consumer customers. This role involves warm calling to existing customers, generating leads, preparing quotes, and negotiating deals to meet sales targets. The Inside Sales Representative also coordinates product demonstrations, deliveries, and training while ensuring excellent customer service before, during, and after the sale.
Required Education and/or Experience

- 1-3 years of related experience
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s degree or 2-year Technical Degree in a related field

Customer Engagement & Sales Development:
- Welcome customers to the dealership and direct them to the appropriate department or staff.
- Initiate contact with current and prospective customers to discuss products and generate new sales opportunities.
- Assess customer needs, recommend product solutions, and provide detailed product information.
- Negotiate pricing, services, and terms to close sales effectively and meet or exceed sales targets.
Sales Quoting & Order Processing:
- Prepare accurate sales quotes based on customer requirements and market conditions.
- Submit finalized sales orders to corporate sales for manufacturer processing and approval.
- Handle credit applications and gather necessary customer information for order completion.
Product Demonstration & Delivery Coordination:
- Schedule and conduct product demonstrations at the dealership or customer locations to showcase equipment features.
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery and transfer of sold equipment, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Provide product literature, brochures, and promotional materials to assist customers in the buying decision.
Customer Support & Relationship Management:
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers before, during, and after the sale to address concerns, offer support, and nurture long-term relationships.
- Identify potential new leads by analyzing customer lists, reviewing property maps, attending trade shows, and participating in industry events.
Market Analysis & Strategy Development:
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and promotions to adjust sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Record and track sales activities, customer interactions, and potential deals to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Contribute to personal and team sales goals by providing input on strategy and performance improvements.
Inventory & Display Maintenance:
- Unload and position new equipment deliveries to enhance showroom and lot appeal.
- Maintain clean, organized, and attractive equipment displays to draw customer interest.
General Support & Additional Duties:
- Assist with various dealership operations as needed to ensure smooth and efficient business functions.
- Attend product training sessions and sales meetings to stay informed about industry updates and product features.
- Back up to Rental & Lot Coordinator.

Physical Requirements

You'll work in both an office and service setting. The office offers consistent light, sound, and temperature, with standard equipment like computers and phones. Also, this requires outdoor activity on and off property to perform demos and customer deliveries.
