Position Summary
The Community Development Manager is a key member of the Marketing Department, responsible for building and strengthening relationships within the communities Service One Credit Union serves. This role will focus on identifying and implementing initiatives that enhance the Credit Union's visibility, reputation, and positive impact while aligning with member needs and organizational goals. This individual supports and promotes the Credit Union's Vision, Mission, Culture, and Core Values through collaboration and service excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Leverages existing community connections to identify and cultivate new business relationships and opportunities for account growth.
- Connect Branch Managers to external community contacts to support revenue generation and partnership development opportunities.
- Maintain Reporting and Accountability communications to internal key stakeholders.
- Accountable for planning and meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to meet account growth
- Supports the VP of Marketing & Community Development in the execution of community engagement initiatives, department planning, administrative needs, and support needs for sponsorships, events, and volunteer activities.
- Develops and delivers engaging financial education workshops tailored to diverse audiences, utilizing interactive methods and leveraging Credit Union resources to promote financial literacy.
- Manages workshop logistics, including planning, promotion, delivery, and evaluation, to ensure maximum impact and participant engagement.
- Travel weekly to various locations in the region to deliver financial education, support event needs, and to meet with Select Employer Group contacts and / or Community Partners.
- Works closely with their manager to enhance the Credit Union's visibility and reputation within the community.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to align community-focused initiatives with member needs and organizational goals.
- Acts as a point of contact for community organizations and businesses interested in partnering with the Credit Union.
- Secures member information in accordance with credit union privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing and community development.
- Partner and collaborate with various Credit Union committees.
- Perform such duties as may be required for the overall management and operation of the Credit Union.
