Job Description

Your Responsibilities

We are seeking an ambitious, motivated Outside Sales Associate looking to help our fast-growing business grow even faster. If you are a top performer, want to manage your own territory, and produce at the highest pace with uncapped earnings; this is what you’ve been looking for.

The Outside Sales Rep acts as a business representative for our insulation and building products distribution division, while aggressively growing sales and promoting our brand.

  • Represent an international distribution business with a focus on building materials in a local territory.
  • Expand sales by actively leveraging your extensive industry and/or closely related network.
  • Remain active in your pursuit to gain and foster new business relationships utilizing effective pre-call planning, market information, and overall time efficiency.
  • Develop and communicate a strategic sales plan and forecasts for the territory.
  • Effectively communicate and turnover order details to Customer Service Representatives.
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, reports, correspondence, and product/industry presentations to customers at all levels within the customer’s company.
  • Ensure timely submission of expense reports.
  • Utilize the company CRM to build a database for collection and reporting of all account calls, prospects, activities, objectives, and results.
  • Participate in company improvement programs such as strategic planning or continuous improvement programs.
  • Participate and network in various industry associations and functions.
  • Attend training and trade shows as required.
  • Plan sales activities/trips to maximize sales coverage and maintain travel expenses within budgets.
  • Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • If operating a Company Vehicle, a valid driver’s license will be required.
  • 3- 5 years of successful outside sales experience within the distribution and building materials industries.
  • General Contractor and Building industry knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial insulation, building envelope, or building science is a plus.
  • Comprehension of construction drawings.

THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

Travel Requirements

Flexibility to cover a territory with a 250-mile radius and overnight requirements.

Up to 75%.

Physical Requirements

Requires the safe usage of ladders. Work is performed at installation sites or warehouses - may require climbing, stooping, balancing, kneeling, crawling, bending, lifting, driving a car or truck and sitting and standing for long periods of time.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. or less.

Compensation Range

$30,000.00 - $250,000.00

The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
