Role Description:
We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented professional to join our Accounts Payable team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconciling payable reports weekly to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate.
- Tracking credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments.
- Proactively reviewing open items for possible issues – unpaid vouchers, vouchers payable, large credits, duplicate payments, etc.
- Verifying payment accuracy within the ERP system.
- Generating AP reports or relevant data as requested by management.
- Ensuring daily/weekly reporting is completed on time and accurately.
- Completing work to support the timely and accurate closing of financial period ends.
- Support month end and year end procedure.
- Communicating with all internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Partnering with management to maintain a level of performance that supports the attainment of departmental goals and standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Two years as an Accounting Specialist with accounts payable experience or similar role.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products with a solid understanding of Excel.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
- Detailed oriented with a sense of urgency.
- Comfortable with the collaborative Google suite of products – Sheets, Drive, etc.
- Exposure to general ledger packages such as NetSuite, Intacct, or MS Dynamics preferred.
- Ability to accurately process large quantities of invoices and imports.
- Ability to communicate information in an accurate, professional, and timely manner - both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to record and communicate information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and/or balance computations.
- Ability to understand policies/procedures and communicate them accurately.
