What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Assembler position at Service Trucks International, Inc.?
Summary:
Our assemblers take the painted service body and make it into a field-ready product by assembling and installing standard and customer ordered options.
Duties:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, sales sheet and parts list; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a mechanical aptitude with an eye for detail. Hydraulic and/or electrical knowledge is helpful.
