Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• Carry out industrial cleaning duties in commercial settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with custodial duties in both residential and commercial environments as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms and common areas, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
• Perform minor facilities maintenance tasks as required to keep the premises in good condition.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Support porter duties by moving furniture or equipment as necessary during events or cleaning operations.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is a plus.
• Experience with floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types, is advantageous.
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques can be beneficial for maintaining aesthetic appeal in facilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
