Job Description

What you get to do in this role:   

  • Trusted global partner with subject matter technical expertise in revenue recognition
  • Establish and maintain formal accounting policies, practices, procedures and process improvements to ensure US GAAP compliance and strong internal controls
  • Prepare technical revenue accounting memos in compliance with US GAAP 
  • Manage ad hoc projects and support new business initiatives
  • Work diligently on finding solutions to critical issues, lead special projects as needed, and drive issues/projects to successful completion
  • Provide technical revenue trainings to both the revenue team and other groups within the Company
  • Monitor relevant US GAAP and SEC developments to ensure the company’s revenue recognition policies and procedures are in compliance
  • Perform contract analysis reviews and document reviews following ASC 606 Accounting Standards
  • Liaison with stakeholders across multiple offices and teams 
  • Clearly understand the “why” and “how” and guide the team to solve problems
  • Understand Revenue and Order to Cash business processes to drive process improvements
  • Prepare month-end and quarter-end presentations for management

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 7 years prior work experience in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • Understanding of current GAAP standards including ASC 606 
  • Big 4 or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) revenue accounting experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills; a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and across various functions to meet deadlines
  • Creative mind set to solve big-picture problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others

Flexible 

A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

Remote

A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
