The Assessment Clinician will conduct Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Integrated Mental Health Assessments based on individual need. Both will include interviews of clients and initial treatment recommendations using agency guidelines and requirements as well as appropriate screening/testing tools.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field with the ability to complete State approved continued education units as a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) within six (6) months of employment
- Experience in the field of substance abuse and diagnosing of substance abuse disorders
- Ability to pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check

- Proficient computer skills including fluid use of electronic communication tools
Job responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments via telehealth using DSM 5 and ASAM
- Relay the results from assessments, to include treatment recommendations, to the client upon completion of the assessment
- Complete documentation for each assessment conducted within defined time constraints
- All documentation is to comply with overseeing state or federal guidelines
- Attend all required Set Free meetings (via teleconferencing or in person)
- Additional reports and requests as needed from the management team
