Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented MRO Crib Attendant to join our dynamic supply chain and warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the inventory of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials within the designated crib area. Your focus will be on ensuring efficient stock management, accurate data collection, and seamless coordination with procurement and warehouse teams to support production and maintenance activities. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of MRO materials through regular stock checks and data entry into warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP or AS400.
- Organize and store materials efficiently within the crib area, ensuring easy access for maintenance and production teams.
- Conduct data mining and analysis using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to identify stock trends, usage patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effective purchasing of MRO supplies.
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or stock shortages to prevent future issues through process enhancements.
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities, including heavy lifting and materials handling, ensuring timely order fulfillment.
- Support demand planning efforts by providing accurate data collection and analysis related to material consumption and replenishment needs.
- Utilize logistics knowledge to optimize stocking practices, reduce waste, and improve overall warehouse distribution efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or materials handling within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, demand planning, and logistics.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as SAP or AS400), SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data analytics for process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and forklift operation; forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of materials management practices such as stocking strategies, inventory analysis, and cycle counting.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams including procurement, maintenance, and warehouse staff.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in data collection and reporting; problem-solving skills for root cause analysis are essential.
