Utilization Management Coordinator

Join the team of highly dedicated mental health professionals. We are presently looking for a PRN Utilization Management Specialist who will be responsible for:
- The UM Coordinator is responsible for authorizing continued inpatient days for patients admitted to the hospital.
- Compiles statistics regarding authorizations and phone calls for monthly reports and communication with insurance providers.
- Provides customer service to members and providers regarding benefits and claim status.
- Communicates with Intake/UM Director regarding authorizations, reports, protocol concerns and network issues.
Qualifications:
Education:
A Master’s Degree in behavioral health or RN Degree from an accredited college or university
Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience in a psychiatric setting as UM Coordinator, Counselor or Nurse.
