Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at a medical facility in Haskell, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the emergency department. As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will assess patients, administer medications, collaborate with healthcare team members, and provide education to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and triage patients in the emergency department
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education to patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and self-care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an emergency department setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
