Our family-focused Oral and Maxillofacial surgery office located in the heart of San Francisco's vibrant Inner Richmond neighborhood is seeking an experienced self-motivated, organized, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to help grow our practice. For over 43 years we have served the oral care needs of families in the Bay Area. This person will play a lead role in helping to imagine, design, and create a world-class patient experience. Perfect for the individual who has great communication skills (written and verbal) and enjoys working closely with others. We are looking to hire an experienced treatment professional, one whom is truly wonderful communicating with patients and coordinating schedules for our patients. This person must be an enthusiastic, hard-working, team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys resolving complex situations for patients. Experience working in a dental/medical practice is a plus. Position is Full Time M-F 8-5pm.
Duties would primarily be:
- Warmly greet and assist patients through intake process
- Field incoming phone calls
- Schedule surgery and follow up appointments for patients
- Assist patients with questions
- Manage schedule for maximum efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Coordinate care with other practices
- Track new patients for monthly meeting updates
- Print next day schedule and call list for Doctors
- Ensure all necessary documents (x-rays, referral slips, medical clearances) are prepped and in patient files.
- Set up new patient files
- Send out welcome letters to new patients
- Own checking and responding to all incoming email correspondence
- Follow up on assigned patient recalls
