Role and Responsibilities: As a Staff Attorney, you will play a crucial role in providing legal research and advice on various legal matters within our company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably business related
- Juris Doctorate degree
- Membership in The Mississippi Bar, within 6 months after starting date
- Strong analytical skills
- The ability to function effectively in the workplace as exhibited through one's integrity, courage to act and communication skills
- The ability to work with others effectively as exhibited through one's respect for people and commitment to teamwork

| Responsibilities May Include: |
- Assist on matters that are subject to litigation.
- Assist in evaluating and summarizing claims, policy service and administrative matters.
- Provide assistance on matters to more senior attorneys on legal issues and handle special assignments and projects.
- Assist in assembling discovery requests and in preparing appropriate responses.
- Prepare drafts of legal documents for review and finalizing.
- Perform legal research and evaluation of legal issues for all areas of the Company as needed.
- Assist in responding to various questions and concerns from the field force.
- Assist in evaluating and responding to underwriting issues and concerns.
- Assist on various legal aspects of real estate transactions, including those that involve bankruptcies, foreclosures and lawsuits when filed.
- Assist with issues involved in mortgage loan closings, servicing, workouts, defaults and other servicing problems.
