ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for the overall performance and implementation of the workforce development services provided through the IYIP grant.
2. Collaborates with the SGA’s Regional Director and other program staff in program planning and to set the program’s quantitative and qualitative goals;
3. Supports the Case Manager by collecting all required documentation on participant outcomes;
4. Organizes and facilitates regular team meetings for program staff;
5. Maintains and balances program budget with the assistance of the Regional Manager;
6. Provides reflective supervision, to staff to ensure the implementation of the education programs within the department reflects the respective funder’s philosophy and curriculum;;
7. Ensures all assigned program reports are completed and submitted on a timely basis;
8. Collaborates with personnel from relevant agencies/schools/community organizations;
9. Works with the Case Manager and Regional Director to leverage resources and create linkages for youth in programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures all confidential information is protected;
2. Ensures all mandates of the Illinois Youth Investment performance standards are met;
3. Conduct required reports and data material to SGA;
4. Displays sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the service population;
5. Demonstrates leadership abilities and ability to utilize reflective supervision;
6. Develop and maintain partnerships within the targeted communities to cultivate relationships with local community resources and strengthen referral base.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
2. 2-4 years of program coordination experience
3. Computer literacy skills include data entry, Microsoft Packages (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook)
4. Experience working with teens and young adults, knowledge of learning styles and ability to engage high risk youth and their families.
5. Knowledge of Juvenile Justice System
6. Experience working with individuals dealing with factors that put them at-risk of becoming victims of aggressive behavior.
7. Ability to work flexible hours, including late evenings and weekends.
