The Sanitation position will be located at Fellers Food Service Equipment & Design a SGC Foodservice Affiliate.

?Starting compensation is $17.50/hour.

Summary:

Sanitation personnel provide routine maintenance and cleaning for the distribution center inside and outside along with other duties as assigned. This position keeps working areas in offices, rest rooms, and warehouse establishment in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities may include:

• Pulls shrink wrap and cardboard from pick slots, aisles and racking . Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums and cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from machines, overhead pipes, in all areas of warehouse.
• Transports trash, waste and empties wastebaskets to disposal area.
• Maintains inventory of all supplies required to accomplish duties.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Notifies management of potential safety hazards.
• Operates only the equipment you have been trained to operate , such as a scrubber, sweeper, forklift, pallet jack, power sprayer, scissor lift and generator.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Physical Demands include:

A qualified candidate must have the ability to operate light to heavy cleaning equipment including, but not limited to, floor scrubber, floor vacuum, pressure washer and lawn mower. The Custodian person must have the ability to lift trash cans and pallets weighing up to 85 lbs. Sanitation personnel must have the ability to clean all types of surfaces, furniture, restrooms, trailers, tractors and work in various temperature controlled zones ranging from -5 degrees Fahrenheit to ambient temperatures. Also included in this position is light maintenance such as changing light bulbs, painting, etc. This position requires contact with cleaning chemicals, paints, occasional use of ladders and or material handling equipment. A candidate must be willing to work extended schedules including nights and weekends.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
