What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Inventory Clerk/Data Entry Clerk position at Shah Eye Center?
The Optical Inventory Clerk/Data Entry Clerk s role is to manage inventory of merchandise by maintaining count of current supplies and restocking displays when frames are sold. Accepts all incoming inventory for all locations, and forward data to supervisor to input into database. Ensures that merchandise is rotated as required. Arranges and maintains display of optical merchandise in an aesthetically pleasing way to ensure proper visibility for sales/promotions. Will ensure that returns are mailed out in a timely fashion. Process all Billing Claims/Orders for Optical Department from all locations of Shah Eye Center.
At all times, employee is responsible for:
- Protecting the physician’s license;
- Maintaining confidential any and all information accessible while performing job duties;
- Staying in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, OSHA, HIPAA, OIG, and any other legal and/or contractual obligations.
Duties of the Job:
- Process all Optical billing/orders for glasses/frames/accessories, etc.
- Receives incoming merchandise, and pricing.
- Inputs all inventory into database (Optimatix)
- Ensures that merchandise is current and appropriate for patients.
- Will work with coworkers to create aesthetically pleasing displays. Ensures visibility of merchandise for sales/promotions.
- Will establish appropriate levels for merchandise.
- Check status on orders from outside laboratories.
- Other assigned duties.
