About us

Shaker Run features a 27 hole championship golf course centrally located between Dayton and Cincinnati. Offering Bent grass fairways, tees and greens. Water hazards come into play on 14 holes with sculpted bunkers and beautiful woodscapes throughout to challenge the skills of any golfer.

The original 18 holes were designed by the renowned Arthur Hills and opened in 1979.

The third nine, Meadows, was added in 1999 and was designed by Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry.

Recognized by Golf Digest as one of the premier golf courses in Ohio, Shaker Run has hosted many notable golf events, including The Kroger Senior Tournament Qualifier, Nike Miami Valley Tournament, the 1998 Ohio Amateur Championship and the 2005 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.

Job Summary:

This position is a pivotal piece to the success of our business as applicant must always be highly self motivated and attention to detail oriented while creating a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere in the golf shop . The position must maintain a neat and orderly golf shop, inform and enforce club policies, communicate to all areas of the golf operation, manage tee time sheets, use proper phone and radio etiquette, and service the members and their guests. Successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and some Holidays.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Smiles and is always personable .
• Answer telephone with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Perform all aspects of customer services.
• Operate the iPad workstations and generate the necessary daily reports.
• Tee Sheet Management.
• Merchandising (restocking displays and overall upkeep of golf shop).
• Knowledgeable on all aspects of the products in the golf shop and their pricing.
• Communicates all necessary business to members, guests, and co-workers.
• Communicates club policies, rules, and regulations when necessary.
• Assist in overseeing all outside operations personnel.
• Keep management informed on all activities and incidents.
• Any and all duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional.
