Job Description:
The Courtyard by Marriott Newark - University of Delaware is an award-winning hotel located on the University of Delaware campus in the heart of Newark, Delaware. We are looking for a dynamic personality to join our team as a Sales Coordinator. This is the perfect part-time job for someone with previous hospitality experience looking to have a great work-life balance.

The Sales Coordinator will serve a vital supporting role for our sales team, including:
- Help ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Sales department, such as:
- Preparing and sending documentation to customers.
- Responding to customer calls and emails.
- Assisting the sales staff in completing customer paperwork.
- Follow-up with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their products and services.
- Input data into our customer management system.
- Perform miscellaneous support services, including filing, gathering information, organizing the sales office, and helping to keep sales work area neat, clean, and presentable to clients or hotel staff.
- Maintain knowledge of all hotel services/features and hours of operation.
- Maintain complete knowledge in the use of all office equipment, computer, and manual systems.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of specified hotel information, correspondence, reports and files.
- Familiarization with current customers and hotel accounts.
- Working knowledge of the Front Desk and all hotel operations.
- Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, and staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates interested in this job should:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be able to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Have previous hotel, customer service, and/or sales experience.
- Have a strong working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office, the Internet, SalesForce, and FOSSE.
