What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Coordinator - Trucking position at Sharp Transit?
Sharp Transit is seeking an experienced Truck Maintenance Coordinator for its trucking terminal in Springfield, OH. This role is responsible for working with our drivers, mechanics, and service vendors to keep our equipment in tip top condition. The ideal candidate will be a self starter with great attention to detail and time management skills who thrives in a fast paced work environment.
This position works Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm. Some weekend and evening hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist our mechanics with diagnosing problems
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers
- Submit appropriate work orders and POs
- Coordinate preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers within the terminal fleet
Requirements
- 3 years experience either as a maintenance coordination for a trucking company; or working with a major parts warehouse company
- Proven track record of vendor relationship management
- Understanding of diesel tractor & trailer repair preferred
- Good working knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel
- Must be able to work on feet for extended period of time
- Must be able to lift 35lbs from ground to above shoulders
