Job Title
Plant 81 | LTO I | Shift 2
Position Overview
- Operate pole lift truck.
- Move greige goods and/or leader material from greige inventory, or leader/header locations, to dye range sew-on area.
Essential Duties:
- Complete lift truck inspection at the beginning of each shift
- Check the production schedule to ensure the correct formula extension sheet is used
- Retrieve rolls from warehouse area using the roll locations on the formula extension sheet
- Transport rolls to dye range
- Verify the roll by comparing the roll ticket and the water tag
- Enter roll number in computer, encode RFID tag with roll #
- Load rolls onto staging area
- Locate the required length roll of leader material according to schedule
- Assist the sew-on operator while not moving rolls
- Move core buggy from sew-on area to roll-up area as needed
- Carry roll tickets to inspection/roll-up as needed
- Assist in keeping work areas in a clean, orderly manner
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, speak, hear, look at a computer screen, and look at reports
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs. occasionally
- Close vision is required
- Must be able to go inside dryer, main steamer, post steamer for cleanups, machine problems, speed changes and/or width changes as necessary
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled
- Must be able to climb up and climb down from lift truck frequently
- Must have ability to turn body and/or head to look behind lift truck while operating
