Job Title Production Associate Calhoun, GA Position Overview Shaw Industries is looking to hire and train production associates who will play an important role. In this role, associates will gain diverse work experiences and exposure to multiple areas of manufacturing. We’re looking for individuals who are ambitious, interested in learning various skills, and who enjoy problem solving. We are currently looking to fill 2nd and 3rd shift openings. No prior manufacturing experience is necessary. Training is provided for all entry-level roles. Below are the positions that you will be considered for when you apply to this job posting. Creeler – This production associate places spools onto holders (creels) to feed yarn into carpet manufacturing (tufting) machines. No experience is required. Creeler Operator – This production associate helps to relieve the carpet manufacturing (tufting) operator, mends yarn, and replaces empty spools of yarn. Some experience is helpful. Tufting Operator – This production associate runs the carpet manufacturing machines (tufting), ensures high quality carpet production, and ensures a safe work environment. No experience is required. Qualifications Each role has different lifting, reach, and physical movement requirements. Typical requirements include the ability to bend, stoop, reach, pull, and push repetitively. May need to climb ladders and stairs depending on the position. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15lbs.
