Title: 2nd Pressman/Feeder - Offset Pressroom
Responsibilities:
Review Job Ticket to ensure proper specifications and job requirements are produced
Ensure inks are brought to the press and placed in proper ink fountain
Wash-up press and change blankets
Hang printing plates and assist with coating blanket to achieve proper registration
Assist Lead Pressman in achieving and maintaining color to approved color standards or proofs
Assist Lead Pressman in maintaining color and registration to the approved copy
Assist team in troubleshooting press to help reduce downtime and inefficiencies
Assist in the training of fellow team members
Maintain and adhere to safety standards and perform housekeeping duties
Perform scheduled maintenance when required
Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
Qualifications/Skills Required:
Mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of Offset printing process and machines
Must be willing to work rotating shifts - days, afternoons and night
Elementary computer skills
Detailed eye for color
Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
Physical Requirements:
Be able to lift objects weighing 30-50 pounds safely and effectively, with the capability to lift more if required
Stand for extended periods
Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Sustain physical endurance for fast-paced work
Operate and work near machinery safely
