Job Description Summary
To assist office staff with daily operations and providing excellent customer service and Pearson Vue proctoring services to examinees
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide coverage of office area; greet customers & provide general information.
- Receive and route telephone calls.
- Run errands.
- Assist with scheduling appointments.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining departmental files (i.e., filing, sorting, and scanning records).
- Assist with typing correspondence and/or developing spreadsheets/databases.
- Work with University Testing Coordinator on setting schedule
- Keep up on certification for administering exams
- Assist with testing day prep and set-up
- Monitor Testers during testing day
- Unpack materials & assist with sorting/delivering department mail.
- Operate personal computer and office equipment (i.e., copier, printer, etc.).
- Use various software to create or maintain office communications (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Assist with special projects.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by department personnel.
- Assist with cleaning up the lab and locking materials back up after test day is done
- Assist with troubleshooting on testing day if needed

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED
- Enrolled as a Full time Student at SSU (12 hours for undergraduate and 9 hours for graduate students, except summer), who is in good academic standing. Students in the final semester of enrollment, prior to graduation, may work without being registered for 12 hours.
- Expected to work 8 hours/week (work schedule is arranged around student’s classes) on Pearson Vue Testing. Other hours will be as an office assistant at the front desk of the Student Success Center.
- Pearson Vue Testing has the expectation of maintaining a quiet and respectful testing environment.
- Normal office environment.
