We are seeking a Business Developer to become an integral part of our team! This role drives growth by identifying new business opportunities, building key client relationships, and leading the acquisition and execution of strategic projects to achieve the company’s long-term goals.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire client acquisition process, from initial contact to final contract negotiations.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and other communication materials to support business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external contacts to make connections and create solutions.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to create effective business strategies.
- Meet or exceed the company’s measurable metrics in lead generations and conversions.
- Represent Shearer Construction at events and tradeshows to expand our network and client base.
- Track and report on business development activities and performance metrics.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with potential clients, follow up diligently, and regularly check in to generate leads.
- Manage and mentor business development specialists, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities and revenue streams aligned with our business strategy.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant education plus a minimum of 5 years related experience or an equivalent.
- Track record in lead generating and prospect management preferred.
- Proficiency in online research and market sector analysis.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong proofreading skills.
- Experience in business development, sales, or marketing preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Reliable, organized, and detail oriented.
- A collaborative and team-oriented disposition.
- Strong communication skills for client engagement and presentations.
- Understanding of design processes and project lifecycles preferred.

Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
