Shift Hours:
9AM to 5PM with special after hours events as requested
The Digital Media Specialist develops and delivers high-impact digital marketing strategies and programs to drive credit union objectives, gain maximum exposure and achieve superior engagement.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions.
- Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Required to attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.
- Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance to SFCU policies, procedures, philosophy, and standards of performance.
- Manage all social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) for the Shell FCU brand.
- Generate, edit, publish, and share daily social content to build meaningful connections, encourage interaction and expose products, services, and promotions. Including interacting with our members and the community to grow brand awareness, attract new members and provide exceptional service.
- Develop, execute, and manage a digital marketing and engagement strategy across all channels to drive traffic, identify trends, grow supporter base, and initiate product/service adoption.
- Cultivate vendor relationships to create digital content and provide tactical execution for growth opportunities to exceed business goals.
- Provide monthly digital advertising reporting to the Marketing Manager and Vice President of Marketing.
- Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against the credit union’s performance.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to produce high quality content, effective promotions, and appropriately formatted material for each outlet.
- Monitor and abide by the rules for all social media platforms.
- Comply with all marketing compliance rules and regulations.
- Develop a YouTube channel niche and deliver engaging content on a regular basis.
- Maintain records of all digital and social content for compliance.
- Explore new social and digital technology and inform the Marketing Manager and Vice President of Marketing of opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills
Experience:
Two years college or professional digital marketing experience.
Education / Training:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of credit union products and services.
- Core skills for success in this role include solid written and oral communication skills, consumer psychology, relationship building, copywriting, proofreading, data analysis, and business fundamentals.
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work dynamically with minimum supervision.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain constructive work relationships with staff, members, and vendors.
- Great planning, organizing, and troubleshooting skills with extreme attention to detail; accuracy in following instructions and details; strong follow-up skills.
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite and video production experience.
- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work in an open-concept workspace/environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend and stand. May at times be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 15 pounds.
