Material Damage Adjuster
$20.22 - $33.27 / hour
Job Level: Individual Contributor
What You Will Be Doing:
Investigate, analyze, evaluate and settle insurance claims involving automobile, property, property liability and other material damage loss types. Determine value of a claim and negotiate settlements within limits of authority, in accordance with established procedures and consistent with legal and contractual obligations. May be assigned duties with regard to catastrophe teams for auto and property losses. Position specializes in adjusting claims with some degree of physical inspection. Due to the duties and responsibilities of this position, a Credit Bureau Report, Motor Vehicle Report, and Criminal Background Check may be ordered on final candidates.

- Knowledge of automobile repair and property construction
- Ability to learn through on-the-job training/training courses
- Superior skills in negotiation, customer service, written and verbal communication
- Ability to travel long distances and lift/move/climb ladders for inspection in all temperatures
- Strong skills in technology
- Efficient in time management to maintain schedules and deadlines
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
