EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or other related field.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LMFT, or LLMFT
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1 year of practical experience as an outpatient therapist; preferably in a community mental health setting. Experience in a children’s evidence based practice preferred.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Children's Outpatient Therapist provides services to children who have a serious emotional disturbance (SED) and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or co-occurring disorders. Services shall include an annual biopsychosocial assessment, development and implementation of a Person-Centered Plan, and crisis intervention when needed. Treatment modalities may include individual, and family therapy. The Outpatient Therapist works in a consulting capacity with other internal treatment providers and with representatives from other community agencies. The Outpatient Therapist shall report to the Supervisor of Child & Family Outpatient Therapy or other supervisory staff as designated by the Chief Executive Officer.
