Job Summary: The Project Engineer is responsible for the coordination and management of projects throughout SESA’s plants and buildings.

- Manage all projects within the Engineering and Maintenance Department.
- Conduct regular meetings with contractors to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner.
- Maintain capital budgets and make adjustments according to needs as they arise.
- Track performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
- Document and report project progress to stakeholders and clients.
- Develop and implement site processes to ensure that maintenance and project work across the site are conducted in a safe, responsible, and environmentally sound manner in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Engineering & Maintenance Manager and operations to monitor operation of plant equipment and systems to ensure conformance with operational standards.
- Communicate directly with the operations departments in planning maintenance and engineering projects.
- Act as the Reliability Engineer working closely with the operations team to develop plans to eliminate or reduce the losses through root cause analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering role required.
- Project engineering experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with chemical process control systems (DCS or PLC) preferred.
- Familiarity with Process Safety Management preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate (verbal and written) effectively.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Possess strong organization and implementation skills.
- Capable of proactive approach to identify and eliminate potential problem areas.
- Ability to take direction and to carry out instructions from the manager in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Ability to lead others on projects that are not direct subordinates.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Ability to manage time in an efficient and effective manner.
Work Environment:
- This position operates primarily in a professional office environment.
- The role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and walking around the buildings and manufacturing plants.
