Notice: This position is 40 hours a week with 20 hours of stat expectation within that.

As a counselor at Shine, you may provide services to children, teens, adults, and families, as we serve people of all ages. We’re happy to discuss your desired age groups and areas of focus during an interview and craft a caseload that ensures employment satisfaction. We are especially looking for those at this time who desire to work with children and/or postpartum adults.
Registered Associates: This position starts at $52,000 annually for the onboarding period of three months to reach 20 stat hours per week. Once 20 stat hours is achieved and will be maintained, the reimbursement will increase to $60,000 annually. Stat hours above the 20 per week are paid out monthly at a bonus of $85 per stat hour. For a clinician who wants to complete 30 stat hours per week and who works 47 weeks a year with that stat hour load would make an income of more then 100K annually. The other five weeks account for PTO that is paid out at the annual salary rate.
Licensed Professional Counselors:
This position starts at $60K annually for the onboarding period of three months to reach 20 stat hours per week. Once 20 stat hours is achieved and will be maintained, the reimbursement will increase to 70K annually. Stat hours above the 20 per week are paid out monthly at a bonus of $95 per stat hour. For a clinician who wants to complete 30 stat hours per week and who works 48 weeks a year with that stat hour load would make an income of $110,800K annually. The other four weeks account for PTO and floating holidays that are paid out at the annual salary rate.
A successful counselor at Shine Counseling will see assigned clients in a timely fashion, be coachable and willing to grow, be open with their supervisor about issues, and maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times. We will provide you with a secured company computer and phone so that you can do the following:
- Complete individualized and comprehensive Intake and Biopsychosocial assessments for children, adolescents, and adults with awareness of cultural diversity and knowledge of ACE's.
- Provide individual or family counseling to children, adolescents, and adults.
- Provide evidence-based interventions based on clinical mental health diagnoses and best practices.
- Maintain quality and timely clinical documentation according to Medicaid guidelines.
- Development of Treatment Plan of care with SMART objectives, utilizing appropriate modalities.
- Ability to engage with families and provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention.
- Be committed to providing the highest quality of care to clients.
- Engage in self-care to maintain wellness and prevent burnout.
- Participate in continuing education
- Be receptive and willing to assimilate information learned in supervision.
- Maintain insight and self-awareness regarding the use of ethics according to ethics codes in working with clients
- If providing supervision, maintain all professional requirements of board-approved supervisors.
