Position Description Summary

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the culinary and front of house teams, ensuring quick and efficient care of all tools and equipment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operation of the F&B teams, as needed
  • Provide general upkeep of the Club, such as periodic painting and pressure washing
  • Maintain proper setup of outdoor dining furniture
  • Unload delivery trucks, properly storing liquor and beer
  • Setup and breakdown furniture for events according to BEO floor plans
  • Regularly walk the Club, ensuring a well maintained and presentable environment for Members
  • Assist with equipment inventory and organization, as needed
  • Shuttle employees to and from the marina, as scheduled
  • Refill par stocks of Member amenities
  • Maintain common areas, repairing or replacing furniture/lightbulbs, etc
  • Assist with linen deliveries and storage, providing laundry assistance, as needed
  • Maintain general appearance of pool deck
  • Assist with heavy lifting/moving large objects, as needed
  • Clean interior and exterior windows, as needed, especially those in hard-to-reach places
  • Communicate with team to ensure all processes are completely smoothly
  • Aid the culinary team with clean-up and sanitation, as needed
  • Setup the dish pit at the start of every shift, ensuring the dish machine is properly loaded with chemicals, the area is neat and organized, and all items are up to code
  • Ensure proper setup of the three-compartment sink, including soap and chemicals
  • Understand and adhere to proper washing techniques and processes
  • Hand wash any dishes that can’t go through the dish machine
  • Maintain organized and efficient flow of dishes
  • Learn and master all service protocols, and procedures
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment
  • Ensure proper cleanliness of the kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Ensure adherence to all health codes, periodically checking compliance
  • Complete all opening, closing, and side duties, as needed and instructed
  • Help maintain food costs by decreasing waste
  • Complete special projects, as assigned
  • Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Solve problems, work as a team, be a leader, and inspire happiness
  • Maintain up-to-date credentials, certificates, and licenses, as applicable

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Must possess attention to detail, follow-through, creativity, and a high level of motivation
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Willingness to learn and accept instruction
  • Must possess a positive attitude and good work ethic
  • Prior kitchen operations experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Other Accountabilities

  • Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs’ operation, it may be necessary for each employee to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as others are expected to help you while we foster a team environment. Therefore, you may be required to perform other tasks, as needed, that are not included in the above.
  • Adhere to all the various company written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, and other oral instructions.

Working Conditions

  • Indoors & Outdoors in a restaurant and on a pool deck with loud noises

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, more than 40 pounds
  • Repetitive motions are required
  • Ability to bend, squat, lift, kneel, and crouch
  • Must be able to safely operate kitchen equipment
  • Moderate to heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling is required

Attendance Expectations

  • This position has an expected workload of 40 hours per week, barring circumstances when overtime may be required; off-season hours may differ
