What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patent Agent/Engineer position at SHOOK, HARDY AND BACON?
Use your engineering expertise to evaluate state of the art technologies while working side-by-side with attorneys and other analysts. As a Patent Agent you will interact with high profile clients and draft applications for patents or other intellectual property matters; you will conduct research to support or defend claims; you will evaluate claims that are subject to intellectual property litigation; you may locate and prepare expert witnesses for trial and prepare written discovery and responses to discovery.
The attorneys in our Intellectual Property practice come with diverse technical undergraduate degrees including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and computer engineering. These same attorneys are experienced in the procurement of both domestic and foreign patent, trademark and copyright protection.
